 President ROCH KABORE today, 24TH January, 2022, narrowly escaped assassination attempt, as the military takes over leadership in the West Africa country. Series of gunfire were heard very close to the government House in Ouagadougou. Though, the military had announced a take over of government function and that the national assembly has also been dissolved. This information was broadcasted on the national television, by the military spokesperson Capt. Sidsore Kader Ouedraogo. The national military council also said that the boarders will be closed from 9pm to 5am until further notice. They admonished the citizenry to be law abiding as they go about performing their duties without any harassment from any quarter. The coup was led by Lt. Col.
