WHO WILL SUCCEED PMB COME 2023?
Hmmmm. Now the drums are out. The Eagles and the Hawks are nesting from the South down to the North. The curvetted office is the goldmine. Once again they are all busy like Bees jostling and hustling for who will get the lion share of our national cake. They are all making promises like parrots and promising to be the Moses, the Obama, the Putin, the Mandela, and the Xi Ping of our time.
Its
said that once beaten; twice shy! Let’s not be like Esau that sold his
birthright for a plate of porridge. As dem dey talk am for Street parlance, I
dey take Baba God wey dey for heaven, beg una my pipo make una shine una eyes
well well o! Because, 2015 and 2019 still fresh for we mind like Atarodo and
Ewedu. Like play like play, before we go talk say Jack Robinson 2023 will be
here starring at us like German Shepherd. Delay is dangerous. And like Mohandas
Karamchand Gandhi said; be the change that you want.
My people now is never the
season to pay lip service or sit on the fence. Politics is game of numbers. Go
get your PVC if you’ve not done that already. With your PVC you can make a
change. Remember, you are a stakeholder in the scheme of things in this country.
Do not belittle yourself. Only you can de-enfranchise yourself. You got the
power, it’s in your hand and your PVC is the game changer. Don’t allow yourself
to be shortchanged. Make up your mind to have a voice in the way you are
governed. Refused to be bought by the sugar coated politicians. Refuse to sell
your vote for the sum of Five Hundred Naira (#500:00). Rather demands Good
governance and infrastructural development from your public servants. The
servant is not greater than the King. With your vote you are a King. Do not be
fooled by their sweet spoken promises that can only fill a basket.
Ask them
questions about their ideology and vision, ask them what they will do when they
get elected into public office. And hold them accountable for their words and
actions. Refused to be divided around religious, tribal, political and cultural
colourations. Remember, if you trade your vote for a Derica of Rice, Groundnut
Oil, bulbs of Onions, satchels of Tomatoes and Milk, you will loose your voice
and power to checkmate them. Do not mortgage your future and that of your
offsprings.
Soonest the political parties would be putting forward their best
Eleven to impress the people. They would splash bunch of money at you, they’d
try to woo you like a man trying to woo a woman, but don’t loose your
commonsense that isn’t common. Think outside the box. One man one vote.
